Wireless Intruder Alarm

An intruder alarm comprises of the following basic components :

Intruder Alarm Panel:

The "brains of the system". Located discreetly out of the way it contains the main processors for the system.

External bell box:

Located on the outside of the premises it acts as a visual deterrent and contains the siren and strobe light which activate if an intruder is detected.

Decoy bell box:

Located on the outside of the premises it acts as a visual deterrent  only.

Internal Siren:

Located inside the premises it sounds if an intruder is detected.

Motion Sensor (PIR):

The motion sensor (Passive infra Red) is located in the corner of the room and detects any body movement within the room.

Door contact:

Located on external doors it detects the opening and closing of the door

Window sensor:

Located on the window frame it detects vibrations and sudden shocks to the window

Panic Button:

Can be located anywhere in the house. When pressed it sets of the alarm and notifies the monitoring station

Smoke Detector:

Normally located in the hallway or Landing it detects smoke and activates the alarm
